MANUAL THERAPY

WHAT IS MANUAL THERAPY?

All of our physical therapists on staff are Fellowship trained in orthopedic manual physical therapy (FAAOMPT) - meaning our training is second to none (literally). Wesley and Jeff are one of only a few therapists (less than 1%!) in the United States who have done this rigorous, academic and clinical training to improve our skills in treatment and management of pain and movement limitations.

But what is manual therapy? It is using the hands, elbows, tools, or other implements to apply positive stresses to the body tissues to reduce pain, improve function, and

Improving flexibility, improving muscular activation, reducing pain, increasing tissue circulation, and facilitating the body’ intrinsic ability to heal with positive stressors are just a few of the benefits of manual therapy. There isn’t a tissue that we don’t work to address - including neural tissue! - as a key part of your comprehensive plan to restore the ability to live your best life.
