ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Anti-Fragile Physical Therapy has announced that in 2026 it will be relocating its practice to the historic Glenrock Hotel building at 408 Depot Street, placing the clinic in the heart of Asheville’s iconic River Arts District (RAD). The move marks a major milestone for both the business and the community. Anti-Fragile PT is the first owner-operated business to permanently move into the area since Hurricane Helene.

Founded and operated by our physical therapists, Wesley Miller and Dr. Jeff Meadows, Anti-Fragile PT has become known throughout Western North Carolina for its personalized, one-on-one orthopedic and performance therapy. Anti-Fragile PT specializes in one-on-one physical therapy sessions that combine expert manual therapy, strength training, and movement education. The practice’s philosophy centers on building resilience through challenge - helping clients not just recover from injury, but come back stronger and more capable than before. After years of steady growth and connection with clients, Miller says the new location represents both an expansion of space and a deepened commitment to community.
“Our new home gives us more room to move, host workshops, and create an environment that supports everything we do - from performance training to long-term injury prevention,” said Miller. “But more than that, it’s about showing up for a community that’s shown so much strength. The River Arts District embodies creativity, grit, and resilience - values that have always been at the heart of Anti-Fragile PT. After the recent hurricane, we’re proud to invest in this neighborhood and be part of its ongoing comeback.”

Thank you to everyone who came out to our RAD Fest Fun Run to get a first look at our new space!
The decision to invest in the River Arts District comes as the neighborhood continues its recovery following the devastation of Hurricane Helene. For many, Anti-Fragile PT’s move represents a hopeful signal of renewal in an area defined by its blend of artistry, endurance, and collaboration. The move also signals growing confidence in the River Arts District’s ongoing recovery. Many local properties were damaged or displaced by Hurricane Helene, and Anti-Fragile PT’s investment in the area highlights the renewed energy and optimism among small business owners and residents alike.
Situated among galleries, studios, and small craft businesses, Anti-Fragile PT joins a creative community known for blending art and resilience. The team plans to collaborate with local artists and wellness professionals to host community workshops and events focused on movement, recovery, and creative expression. The clinic hosted its first community event at the new space this past weekend during RAD Fest, where participants joined in a Fun Run starting and ending at the new location. The event offered a first look at the new facility and a chance to celebrate movement, recovery, and community.
A grand opening celebration will follow, welcoming friends, clients, and neighbors to tour the space and connect with the Anti-Fragile PT team.
